Welcome to Aster Coaching

Hi, I’m Abi, I am the founder of Aster Coaching. I am a qualified accredited personal and professional development coach. I am also a member of the Association for Coaching. I work with individuals and organisations in supportive and practical ways to help them to realise their potential and achieve their goals. 

After more than 20 successful years of corporate life in London, I relocated to Poole in Dorset with my husband and daughter and now rather large puppy for a new life chapter by the sea!

I have a proven track record with significant leadership and management experience in the not for profit, public and private sectors - leading, managing, and coaching high performing teams through growth and change. I have held senior roles specialising in strategy, planning, performance, and innovation for UNICEF UK, RNIB, Alzheimer’s Society and Investors in People UK.

I am a mentor; I am part of the FemMentored programme supporting women working in social impact and I have previously mentored with the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.

As a value led and results driven associate consultant, I also work with clients in the third sector to help them to achieve their objectives and deliver transformative results. 

Why did I choose the name “Aster” for my business? 

The Aster flower stands for Wisdom, Faith, and Valour and is also named after the Greek word for "Star". 

This really resonated with me, as effective coaching enables and empowers individuals to access their own wisdom, have faith in themselves and be brave enough to take steps and actions to achieve their goals and be a star. 

(I am half Greek, so it is also a nod to my heritage.)
